This project started in 2024 and is envisaged as a long-term project to map and start containing the spread of the invasive Rhododendron ponticum, initially in the Lauragh area.  The problem is widespread in Tuosist and all up the Western seaboard of Ireland – so we plan to liaise with other communities involved in this area.  The current phase is to map instances of R. ponticum with the help of the community using a smartphone Mapping App.
